As a corporate leader, I know from first hand experience the power of goals that serve others, further the mission and generate results. The power, however, comes when those goals are highly personal and aligned with a leader’s sense of fulfillment.
To that end, I’ve begun working directly with corporate leaders to help them create and leverage their leadership authenticity for fulfillment, satisfaction and what I call “Grounded Leadership.”
With leadership authenticity consultations, I guide leaders to meaning by helping them uncover their leadership purposes and authentic selves, develop their signature presence and rediscover why they do what they do.
Armed with authenticity, the leader has self-awareness with a leadership vision, clear purpose and source of inspiration. This knowledge serves as a compass for grounding in times of challenge, leveraging core strengths to make a difference and living into a purpose that provides meaning.
My Leadership Authenticity system has evolved from work I have done on my own authenticity, additions I incorporated when I helped my management team with theirs and further refinements that have been made with clients.
Now it’s a set program with defined elements to create the awareness and identify goals that allows for growth while finding satisfaction the “here and now.”
For teams, I help create leadership authenticity for each leader on the team and then facilitate sessions to engage participants in what each means to the team as a whole. In the session, participants see their colleagues in a new light and understand each other better. As a result, they are able to draw upon the various skills on the team, develop higher levels of trust, and identify ways to improve teamwork.
